Corneal Disease Treatment

Injuries or infections, whether bacterial, fungal, or viral, are frequent causes of severe corneal damage and scaring. Abnormal steepening of the cornea (Keratoconus), corneal failure following Cataract Surgery (corneal swelling or edema), hereditary corneal failure such as Fuch’s Dystrophy and some aging processes can also affect the clarity and health of the cornea. In some cases, Corneal Transplant Surgery is necessary. Dr. Bokosky has dedicated his career to the treatment of corneal diseases, trauma to the cornea and corneal transplant surgery.
